Clear vision on the bike: caring for your helmet visor

A smeared or fogged visor isn't just annoying — at speed it's a safety issue. Visor plastic is soft and easily scratched, so how you clean it matters.

Visors are polycarbonate, not glass

The material is impact-tough but surface-soft. Wiping bugs and grit off dry scratches it fast, and solvent cleaners can craze the anti-scratch and Pinlock coatings.

The right clean

Soak bugs off first — lay a wet cloth over the visor for a minute. Then VISNAX Helmet Cleaner lifts the residue alcohol-free, safe for coatings and Pinlock inserts. Never rub dry.

Beating the fog

Cold morning rides and stop-start traffic fog a visor instantly. VISNAX Helmet Antifog keeps the inside clear so you're not flipping the visor up at every light.

Protect the Pinlock

Pinlock inserts are anti-fog but fragile. Clean gently with the cloth damp — no pressure, no solvents.

Keep it with you

Stash a bottle in the top box. Two minutes before a ride beats a blurred visor at 100 km/h.
